New book: Women in Science!

This week I have a new children’s book coming out called Women in Science Who Changed the World. I’m so excited about this book because it highlights some fun stories about women in history who loved learning and experimenting and contributing to our understanding of the world.

Some of these women I hadn’t even heard of before I started researching for this book, including Maria Merian who was the first to really observe caterpillars turning into butterflies and Wang Zhenyi who loved studying astronomy when most girls at her time and place weren’t even allowed to go to school. The book celebrates discovery and curiosity and it’s one for boys and girls alike to appreciate some of our female heroes. We live in a culture where we sometimes slip into the idea that math and science are more for boys than girls…but guess what? They are for everyone because learning and curiosity is not only fun but so important! I hope you check it out. Available for purchase September 9th on Amazon!
